The variety of ecosystems makes this a great place for many activities, including hiking, birding, and fishing. The added campsites provide a number of choices from modern/electric to primitive and from trees to lake side to prairie. This is one of North Dakota's hidden treasures!
Ever since I was a kid I've enjoyed coming here. Sure the lake has weeds and you use outhouses but that adds to the throwback to simpler times. Being a kid and catching fireflies or frogs. Or hiking around the park sometimes through the creek, and if your brave enough to trek across the railroad bridge. I will always remember family picnics and get togethers here and hope to share more times with my family in years to come.
Great place to camp. Bathrooms are not that great
